Prenatal diagnosis of an isolated coronary arterial fistula.
Congenital coronary artery fistulas (CAF) are rare malformations which can be complicated by hemodynamically relevant intracardiac shunts, endocarditis, myocardial infarction, thromboemboly or coronary aneurysms and rupture. The incidence of isolated coronary fistula is 1:50000 live birth (Schumacher G et al. Thorac Cardiovas Surg 1997; 45: 287–294). The left, right or both coronary arteries ma...

We report an antenatally diagnosed large distal coronary artery fistula (CAF) arising from an aneurysmal dilation right coronary artery (RCA) and draining in to the right ventricle (RV) just below the septal leaflet of tricuspid valve posteriorly. A postnatal echocardiogram confirmed the diagnosis. On the second day of life, a percutaneous partial closure of the fistula was performed by placing...
متن کاملA case of a right coronary artery to left ventricle fistula observed over twenty years.
Since the natural history of a coronary artery to left ventricle fistula is not well known, a case of such a fistula in 36-year-old female patient, followed for 20 years is presented. Two-dimensional echocardiography performed as a follow-up examination revealed enlargement of the right coronary artery and the right Valsalva sinus. Two-dimensional color flow mapping showed the jet flow to the a...

The case of a 22-year old male patient who presented with a congenital coronary arterial fistula from the right coronary artery to the right ventricle is described. The arterial fistula had led to an aneurysm of the right sinus of Valsalva and the proximal right coronary artery. The aneurysm was incised from the aorta and the fistula closed with a pericardial patch. The diameter of the aneurysm...

We report a case of 53-year-old male admitted to the hospital with severe chest pain and elevation of troponin I levels, who was transferred to our department for a coronary angiography. Contrast injection into the right coronary artery (RCA) demonstrated no evidence of coronary artery disease. However, a double outlet coronary artery fistula which drained into the right ventricle was visualise...
